11/11/09 - Outtloud Announcement

Official name of our digital download area will be ODieM operating on www.odiem.com. This site is not launched yet.

What does ODieM mean, it is a Acronym for (O) Outtloud (Di) Digital (eM) emusic. Altogether pronounced O- dee- em. Fits perfectly and as a bonus I saw of very well know band in the late 80's at the Hammersmith Odium in London so I like it alot.

12/9/09 - Outtloud Announcement

Outtloud Music Group (Outtloud) launches physical copy distribution.

Our distribution will exist at this level until November 2009 when we will launch our digital distribution with our own totally secure proprietary software. More on this at the end of the article.

Outtloud Distribution from 12/9/09 until 1/11/09 will only be for indie musicians with their own label or without one. Artists will have firstly a link against their picture in the directory in which music buyers can link to the bands own Outtloud webpage. This page can be created by us or by you on your html software editor ( Dreamweaver, Frontpage etc) and emailed to us. This is totally FREE. On this web page you can place images, track lists and album pictures including copyrights. We ask only one thing and that is that you create your own paypal account so sales go directly to you. For this we ask that when you get a sale that you pay Outtloud $1 for every ALBUM that you sell from us. We will know you have had a sale because of our stats and analysis. We will create the links for you if you need help but you need to trust us to do that and besides you can change the password after its complete.

Sound good. Outtloud has currently on average getting between 1 million to 500,000 hits EACH MONTH. Remember that's an average and this is a global audience with the most hits coming out of the united states.
If you do your own page we must approve it and scan for hacks prior to uploading it.

How will it look - If you go to A Directory (on www.outtloud.com)and look for Adventures With Alice and click on the link you will go to their new webpage which Outtloud has created for them.

If you need help to create - its all part of the service. So, no upfront fees. No advertising costs and when you sell an album through us , just transfer $1 (AUD) to our paypal account  - That's it. You can change the page anytime and the album and the graphics.

For people interested please contact the director - Yvette at yvette@outtloud.com. All of distribution is under my control.

Now for the future..... In November 2009 OMG will launch our music digital distribution. It is our software done our way with no interference. Profits will go direct to the artist and an amount will go to Outtloud as commission. 1% that is and that is all. Our software is hack proof, reverse auditable (Traceable) and currently used by NASA in the USA on the ISS. It cannot be hacked and has been tested by every imaginable tinkerer in the world. It sits above the web, electronically speaking, and can carry 10 albums all at once, even on an email. It's the best and we have it.

We will also launch a record label at the same time out of the USA. Excited - we are - all as we are worried about is the world ready. My team is the best of the best and we are ready for lift off.
Yvette

24/1/09 - Where's The CD Shops? When Are you Going to Sell Music?

That is the questions we most get from our music listeners worldwide across email.

As you may be aware, part of Outtloud's mission is to avoid joining any organisation that restricts us in anyway or form AND to still be completely ethical and legal. We have a solution!!

Outtloud has signed with Amazon.com to "on-sell" both used and new CD's from signed artists, plus pre-releases for the US only. This will allow our visitors to buy music and for us to securely sell albums legally without being told what we can and cant say and do. Remember this decision is from demand and is located in the A-Z Band Directory under band name or singer surname.

The first time that you purchase an album will take the longest time as you will need to join Amazon.com then the rest is easy. Now what is special about our agreement is there is no shipping charges on normal post. This is not part of our Download digital distribution which will be released in March. We hope this answers your please to sell albums.

Indie artists on their own label will be contacted shortly to ask which album they would like listed, with a link directly to your shop. We like to work in "real-time" so you will notice each A-Z page come up as the months progress. It takes time and has to be completely accurate so we thank you ahead of time for your patience.

Happy Bargain Shopping USA- The Outtloud Team

Search engineered for musos
By Merryn Porter
A search Engine that links musicians and the public has been launched at Cronulla.

Outtloud Music Group is a search engine that links artists and consumers so they can buy and sell music downloads direct.

Founder and director #### said the project had taken three years to get off the ground and was created so musicians and the general public could bypass costly marketing.

"The mission is to empower music listeners around the world by giving them a choice when buying music, and [to give] musicians freedom to sell direct at their own cost from their website," ## said.

#### said the website gave musicians a grassroots distribution channel for their music and helped them promote themselves through events, new releases, streaming, photos, blogs and videos.

#### said the free service would automatically place bands selected by a user at the top of their search engine results.

"We've worked very hard to give musicians, big and small, near and far, the opportunity to earn a living from their creative efforts," ### said.

Thousands of musicians have already become affiliated with the website, including Radiohead.

The English rock band bypassed record companies and released their latest album via their official website.

Details: www.outtloud.com

Published in the London and LA Times.

Radiohead has stunned the music industry by announcing their seventh album will only be offered as a pay for what you want digital download.

Fans can pre-order "In Rainbows" from next Wednesday via the official band website. Outtloud will be promoting the album on the main page www.outtloud.com , which will link directly to Radiohead's official site, www.radiohead.com. People will be able to pay as little as $1 to cover Radiohead's credit card fees for the 10 track album.

This is the first album for the Oxford quintet since their contract with EMI expired. "The music industry is changing", says the managing director of Outtloud. "Bands no longer need to tie up their creativity and money on a contract, digital has reached critical mass and kids and baby boomers want the latest music now".

Outtloud is a music only band search engine and promotion site based in Australia, which allows buyers and musicians to interact directly without contracts.

(I would like to that to thank a certain musician for helping me with this. You know who you are - Thank You )

Introduction to Ruthie Bram from the USA

In 1970 director Martin Scorsese produced his first film "Medicine Ball Caravan" The subject of the film: 154 musicians touring the United States for world peace. Now for the first time in over 30 years 14 bands from all over the world will come together and tour for world peace.

EuroRock founder Lou Ricca has teamed up with screenwriter/director Victor Colicchio (Summer of Sam) and producer Dave Pederson (Super Size Me) to film the tour. as a documentary and reality show. Musicians from all across Europe will invade the U.S. in September 2007.

Traveling by bus, the tour will make stops in small towns and major cities across America. The film will focus on America's reaction to a bus load of Rock N Roll musicians invading their hometowns. And the musicians reactions to America and each other. In addition to featuring live musical performances by some of the hottest upcoming bands from around the world, the film will also document the more private moments of the tour. Eating in small town diners, sleeping in roadside motels. The unique relationships that form between various band members. Director Victor Colicchio will put the question to the citizens of the United States. The War in Iraq: Should we stay or should go". We will discover first hand how America truly feels about war and peace. The farmers, college students, moms, dads, sisters and brothers divided by their opinions, will have the opportunity to express their thoughts on film. The film itself makes no statement on war. It will express the opinions of America, and promote WORLD PEACE.

The show will have several guest hosts from around the country. Each host will represent music genres from different eras of music, i.e.: Darlene Love, Donovan, Brad Roberts (Crash test Dummies), Tom Waits, Joan Jet, Rick O Shea (The Cars) Johnny Rotten, Patti Smith, and Ringo. Filming of the tour will begin August 13th, in Europe. Final preparations for the tour and the bands departure will be documented. Filming concludes in Los Angeles where the tour will host its largest event, and will be joined by name acts that will come on board to promote world peace.

Outtloud: Hi Ruth and thank you for being the first brave enough to be interviewed by a bunch if IT geeks. We thank you for your support and belief and wanted to interview you as part of your appearance in EuroRock.

Ruth: Thank you for having me! I'm eager to talk about EuroRock.

Outtloud: Tell us a little about yourself first and where you aspire to be and your musical style?

Ruth: I was orphaned as an infant during the Lebanese civil war that raged in 1988. I was adopted by an American couple and taken to Texas. There I soaked up the Texas musical greats—Buddy Holly, Janis Joplin, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn and vowed to become a part of that musical landscape. My music reflects the varied world around me in funky melodies under girded by urban hip hop vibes reminiscent of the 1970's and driven by screaming soulful rock guitar. I merge hot American rock tradition with cool modernity. I enjoy writing and performing for any size of crowd, but would like to start opening shows for most established artists that would provide me with greater exposure. Eventually, of course, I would like to be the headliner that the majority of the audience came to see performing.

Outtloud: EuroRock is a great advocate for world peace, what attracted you to their vision?

Ruth: "For me, EuroRock is a chance to get together with bands from around the world and help spread the conversation about peace. This tour not only focuses on world peace, but also peace with oneself, between individuals and groups. I am honored to be part of a tour with positive messages to give the world.

Outtloud: If you could change one thing for world peace what would that be?

Ruth: If I could change one thing for world peace, it would be to have alternative affordable fuels in place of expensive and environmentally unsafe fossil-based fuels. More affordable, non-fossil fuels could help industrialize poor countries that don't have any oil, and help make many underdeveloped and dependent countries more sophisticated and independent. This development in poorer countries would foster medical care, education, life styles and so many things that the poor desire and use militant means to attempt to attain. An environmental friendly cheap fuel would end a lot of the hostilities we witness in the world.

Outtloud: Tell us about your appearance at the event?
Ruth: On this tour, I will be representing the Middle East. Not only is this a tour to help spread the idea about world peace, but it is also to help spread peace among individuals, and groups. I've had a Lebanese flag specially painted on one of my guitars.

Outtloud: Do you plan to tour other countries besides the states?
Ruth: After I finish touring the states, I may go on the European leg of the tour, which will be in Holland, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, France, and the UK during November, December, and January. After that, I hope to continue touring, as I love the rush of it all!

Outtloud: Where can people listen to your music and purchase your CDs?
Ruth: My music can be heard and purchased from my MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/ruthiebram and from CDBaby.com in hard CD format. My music can be downloaded from almost every digital outlet, iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and so forth.

Outtloud: We know all artists have a turning point in their life where you decide music is going to be your profession. We love interesting stories and can you tell us one?
Ruth: It wasn't ever really a conscious thought. I've aspired to be a singer since age 3. I started singing publicly at age 5. I loved and I still love the rush of walking on stage, uncertain of exactly what is to happen, and make sure that the performance goes well. At 5, I sang and danced to cover songs in competitions and for live audiences. So, both the singing and dancing had to go very well. Recently, I've added electric guitar playing to my singing. I still have two things that must flow beautifully for the performance, and I love it this way.

Outtloud: What would you like to discuss and haven't done so yet?
Ruth: I'd like to discuss the purpose of my music. That purpose is to bring people together in mutual respect, to help heal wounds, and to encourage the sated and indifferent "to get up and go-for-it!

Outtloud: Thank you, for giving us this time, I know this is brief and hope Outtloud brings some real traffic and profit to you.
Ruth: Thank you so much for having me! You guys are great!
